Selimiye Mosque and Selimiye Complex: It is master piece of Ottoman Architecture and Great Architect Sinan. Built by Sultan Selim ll in 1575. The complex include bazaar (Arasta), Medrese (Religious School) and Muzeum. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site List.
Eski (Old) Mosque and Bedesten (Bazaar): Eski Camii is one of the most fascinating historical building in Edirne. It is the oldest mosque (1401) in Edirne, ssituated in the centre of the city.
Uc Serefeli (Balcony) Mosque: Another early example of Ottoman Style in city center, built in 1411. The name refers to unusual minaret with three balconies
II. Bayezid Complex, Health Care Museum: The Complex of Sultan Bayezid II built in 1488, a huge complex apart than mosque and medrese it had madical school and hospital which serve more than 400 years. Today is Health Museum of Trakya University. It remains Turkey's only museum in its field and provides varied and valuable information to visitors on the development of medicine and of medical services throughout history.
Balkan Wars Museum and Sukru Pasa Monument: The Balkan Wars consisted of two conflicts that took place in the Balkan Peninsula in 1912 and 1913. Four Balkan states, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro and Sirbia were againist Ottoman Empire. Result of first war was catastrophically for the Ottoman Empire, which lost the bulk of its territory in Europe. The Empire was able to get back to Edirne after the second war. And Sukru Pasa was defender of Edirne during the first war, with his strong resistance the city survive more than 5 months againist Bulgaria.
Meric River and Meric Bridge: Meric river originates from Rila Mountain in Bulgaria, after 316 km reach Turkey, 134 km in Turkey and after making Greece and Turkey border flows to Aegean Sea from Greece. Meric Bridge built in 1861, 263 m long and 7 m wide, one of the beauty of latest Ottoman Architecture.
